Many of you have recently inquired as to how Moki is doing on the Baytril. Well for one, Moki seems to agree with us that the new compounding pharmacy sucks. The texture of the compounded formula seems to be a little more than Moki can bare. While he has been on medication most of his life, and has always been relatively good at taking the vast majority of medications given, Moki tends to gag and spit up most of the Baytril.
The good news is that we only have to give Moki the Baytril once a day, and what little we do seem to be getting in him, appears to be working. Moki's coughing has once again started to improve. So for now, we will stick with the Baytril, and find a different compounding pharmacy to fill the medication for us in the future.
Today was one of Moki's better days, while he spit up some of the Baytril, he managed to keep some of it down without gaging. We recorded this video to give you a better idea of what it is like to give Moki the Baytril in comparison to the earlier video we recorded as part of our "Special Needs Series - Part 4 Medicine/Moki Station." By comparing the two videos you should get a pretty good idea of what we are talking about.
