MRI - CSF Tap Update

Moki was dropped off at UC Davis this afternoon. He will be staying overnight, while they run the pre-anesthesia tests. These tests are preformed prior to administering anesthesia, to look for possible complications which may arise by putting Moki under. Moki's neurologist has an appointment set up tomorrow afternoon to have the MRI preformed, however the MRI might be preformed earlier if a time slot opens up sooner. After the MRI is preformed, UC Davis will look at the images to see if there appears to be anything that might indicate that a CSF Tap could be dangerous. If the MRI comes out, then Davis will proceed with the CSF Tap. If something negative appears on the MRI, then Davis will contact me prior to proceeding with the CSF Tap, to discuss our options. Moki may be able to come home tomorrow evening, however he may need to be observed overnight after the tests are preformed which means that he won't be allowed to come home until sometime on Thursday. As for the cost of the MRI and CSF Tap, UC Davis raised their prices as of July 1st, which means the estimated cost of Moki's MRI and CSF Tap was increase a total of $200.00 (See the new estimate above.) To help cover the additional cost, we will be using $200.00 from the money which has been raised for Moki's physical therapy...
