Upon sorting through endless piles of paperwork, and reviewing our receipts, we came across the following form:
For those of you who cannot read the form, we have re-written the information:
Hospitalization Discharge Instructions For Moki
If medication is dispensed, please follow instructions on the label. Please call us if you have any questions.
Begin medication.
1. Start Amoxicillin tonight - give twice a day for 7 days
2. Start Tamiflu tonight - give once a day for 7 days
Exercise:
Moderate Restriction: Keep confined to an area where he cannot fall off furniture or stairs.
Diet:
Special Instructions: You will need to syringe feed A/D or canned cat food, or hold bowl up to Moki's face so he can attempt to eat on his own.
Additional Instructions/Information:
Moki's neurological condition is consistent with a condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a developmental condition that occurs if the mother was exposed or vaccinated against feline distemper when she was pregnant. His signs may or may not improve to the point where he will be able to get around and feed himself on his own."
This form, which we have never before shared with you, was the original discharge form from the emergency hospital. It was issued during the period of time when no one though Moki would survive, and then once he did, they believed he had CH, and would possibly never be able to walk or eat on his own again...
Below is a video recorded just two weeks before Moki was admitted to the ER. This video to, has never before been shared. In the video you will notice that Moki, while under medical care, had faded to the point that he was almost incoherent. He weighed only 2.1 pounds, and we where force feeding him, giving him sub q fluids on a daily basis, and administering an antibiotic. At this particular point in time, the doctors believed that there was nothing we could do for Moki other than provide him with at home, around the clock nursing. Thus, prior to admitting him to the ER, that is what we did, while keeping in contact with the doctors on a daily basis...
So why are we sharing this information with you now? Well for us, having to get our information together to prepare taxes, lead us to stumble upon it. Now the bad news is that we have to pay taxes, but the good news is in doing so, we have been fortunate enough to be reminded, despite still having a ways to go, just how far Moki has come...
(Moki's favorite spot to watch the birdies...)

It would be nice if you all got one to help Moki, sorry you don't. We don't either. I wish we could find loopholes and stuff. We'd do good things with our money.

Yes, our mommy would be gladly to chat on Friday in our time zone (we hope at night, after 8 pm?) but, if your momma bean prefer other time, please let us know:)
You have come a very long way since that trip to the emergency vet, Moki. I hope and pray that you keep improving.
Wow, Moki, you have come a long way!
With regards to taxes, our dad usually has enough taken out of his pay throughout the year so that he doesn't have to pay anything at tax time. It means each paycheque is smaller, of course, but the taxes are spread out, throughout the year, instead of having to be paid all at once, once a year.
Moki my dear - you are on my bloggy roll!
Smooches!
Moki,
You are such a strong kitty! I can not believe you only weighed 2.1 pounds! That is over 3 Jelly Beans!

Moki, it is so heartwarming to see how much you have improved and how much better you are looking and doing now.
The good thing about taxes is when you have to pay... that means you had the government's money (taxfree) all year, possibley sitting in your bank earning interest... as opposed to them spending your money all year tax free, and then giving you back something that was rightfully yours anyway. We always pay, never ever get a refund.
We are thrilled that Moki is doing so well and it is heartening to see the improvements just by reading these papers from the past.
Moki you are a good boy!
Love to all of you
I love the picture of Moki looking out the window at the birds. He has come so far...
mew mew Moki. Thank you for posting the video of when you were so tiny and sick. Mummy cried. Such a precious little boy! she said. I pushed the tissue box towards her. Then Mummy smiled at the picture of you on the bed having a good time with your toy. We so happy at your progress! MEW!!!
We think you should be exempt from all those taxes!
Is your mummy going to nursing school? We noticed that you mentioned a 'critical thinking' class. When Mummy was in nursing school they really pushed that critical thinking concept! MEW!! Every thought I think is a critical thought! Like now-I'm thinking when am I going to get some tuna? MEW!!
Moki!
Head butting is my very favorite thing! My humans hold out a fist and I head butt it every time--they say "Punch-head" --
Moki--I hope you make 6 pounds soon. I want you healthy!
Moki Moki Moki! You sure showed those silly vets that us cats have PURRSEVERANCE! Taxes is not a fun time, Mommie has someone else do her taxes acause she is not good with numbers at all!
Hi Moki,
It's really good to see how much progress you have made. It's also very good to see how much your human loves you :)
Moki, You are doing well. I don't know what caused your problems but you have come a long way. We are purring for you.
Purrs, Sukie, Livvie & Mitzi X
