Our Latest Challenge if enough wasn't going on...a wild fire is now raging in the Santa Cruz mountains. The fire lies in the hills between Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties. The winds here are very high, and the fire fighters are having a hard time getting the fire under control. We are actually located in the hills off of Uvas Rd. To see how close the fire is to us, click here. As of right now, we are ok, the fire is moving away from us, but should the wind direction change, we might be in a little trouble...we'll keep you updated as things progress...

The fire continues to move away from us, unfortunately, the further away it moves from us, the closer it moves towards my cousin's house. The fire is now approximately two miles away from where they live...

---------------------Friday Update-------------------------
The Photo above was take from our driveway as of a few moments ago. If you look closely above the green, you can barely make out our regular view of the hill side. That is how thick the smoke currently is. It is absolutely awful!

We're glad the fire is not headed in your direction. But we don't want it to reach your cousin's house either.

Very scary. We had the bad fires last fall. The smoke and allergies hung around for months afterwards. Stay safe.

I'm glad you all are ok. That smoke looks extremely thick, stay inside!

Oh my gosh! That is so so scary and dangerous! We hope the fire goes away.

I am terrified of fires! I hope all is well and the fire can be controlled and go away. Hope Moki is doing well.
