Moki's MRI Images - A Cat's Brain

Here are some of the MRI images taken by UC Davis of Moki's brain. There are lots of images, so we will continue to put up more throughout the week...Enjoy!

P.S. I tried to get the images as clear as I could, but am not familiar with the reader software. Additional problems included having to load the reader software on my computer, and take pictures with my camera of the images, so that they could be shared with you. All of this had to be done without using the flash on the camera, since the light from the flash reflected off my computer screen and washed the images out...These where the clearest shots I could get.

P.P.S. We heard that our missing squillions have been spotted in Malaysia. We'd better go check it out!

In the last picture, Moki has a heart in the middle of his forehead. How neat!

Awesome pictures! Especially the picture of the heart! Do you think all cats have a heart in their brains?

We guess now we know you inside and out. :-)

PS: Have you tried taking a Screen Print of the reader output on your monitor? Might give you better images. We would tell you the exact incantations, but we can never remember them ourselves...

The 'Heart' looks a bit like the larynx from here.
I can really see the fluid around the cerebellum. Hopefully he'll feel better about his hydrotherapy soon.

those are very interesting pictures. i always tease Theo that I'd be afraid that if they x-rayed his head we wouldn't see a brain...

oh my goodness! that is crazy cool! he has a heart in his head too! that must be why he is so sweet.
i hope his hydrotherapy helps him feel better soon.

Well Moki, you definitely has a brain! And a way cool heart there. Cuz you're so nice, yep.
Tell your Mom that MWSnap is a cool free screen capture program (for Windows) that our Mom uses. That's how she got the pix of Gree's x-rays. So MWSnap (we can send a copy) or some other screen capture problem might be easier than taking photos of the screen.
Purrrrrs,

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful suggestions. The print screen idea worked out great. In addition to all the MRI images we have all of Moki's ultrasound images to share with you as well.
