We just wanted to let everyone know that the raffle for Mr. Milky will be ending this Friday. For those of you who haven't already bought tickets but would like to do so, now would be the time. If you are unfamiliar with Mr. Milky you can read more about him on Artsy Catsy's blog.
And now it's time for a Moki update. As many of you may recall, we stopped taking Moki to physical therapy temporarily because of his chest congestion. We then put Moki on Tamiflu in combination with the Clindamycin he regularly takes. Well as I think we may have already mentioned, the Tamiflu worked wonders at clearing up Moki's chest congestion while he was on it. Unfortunately, Moki has been off the Tamiflu for approximately three days now, (since the chest congestion cleared up so well while on the Tamiflu, we wanted to see how well he would continue to do if we stopped it) and well, the chest congestion is starting to come back. Hence I believe we are going to need to restart the Tamiflu...If after a few days of being back on the Tamiflu, Moki's chest congestion starts to clear up again, then we will make an appointment with Moki's physical therapist. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can get Moki back in physical therapy by next Saturday!

wow, so odd that it seems to respond to both one of the antibiotics AND to an antiviral! Hope he feels better soon!
Poor Moki, we hope his chest congestion clears up and he can get back to his therapy quickly.

The Clindamycin is actually for Moki's UTI (urinary tract infection.) The UTI is an ongoing problem which he will most likely have for the rest of his life, given his condition. While we cannot be certain we believe it is most likely caused by Moki not being able to fully express his bladder.

Oh bummer. This chest congestion just HAS to go away! We assume Moki will not be able to be on Tamiflu forever (can't be healthy...) so we will purr and purr and purr for that horrible congestion to go to hell!
