A Cart For Bella

The rescue group where momma bean has volunteered in the past, http://www.towncats.org/ recently put a lady by the name of Gail in touch with us. Gail was going out of town for the holidays and desperately needed to find someone to watch one of her special needs rescues for the two weeks while she was away. Hence, Bella, the special needs kitty will be staying here with us for the holidays...

Bella was found severally injured, in a Target parking lot. It appears as though she may have been run over...Bella has no use of her back legs and is incontinent. Despite her injuries, Bella moves very quickly, and remains a very sweet little girl. We have only known her over night, but when we pet her, she just purrs and purrs...

To give everyone a better idea of the kind of injuries Bella faces, momma bean shot these videos of Bella. You will have to watch closely, because this little one REALLY moves!

Unfortunately, because Bella has no choice but to drag her back legs, Bella gets many sores on her legs, from the constant rubbing on the ground, and has a very sore and swollen anus. The only way to prevent the sores, would be to stop the dragging, and in order to do that we need a special cart/wheelchair for her.

Eddie's Wheels has such a cart, but because of Bella special needs, she will need a rolling stirrup to hold up her back legs, and diaper covers/wraps made to work with the cart, the cart costs approximately $400.00. We would love nothing more than to give Bella a BIG Christmas miracle, get her a cart and find her a very caring and loving home, but we need your help! If you can spare a little money to furever change Bella's life, even if it is just a dollar or two, Bella will be forever grateful for your generosity and kindness!

If you can and would like to help, please use the special Paypal donation button set up for Bella below! Thank you so VERY, VERY much!

UPDATE:

Thank you so very much to everyone who helped make this happen! You have forever changed this little girls life!!! We will be measuring Bella and placing an order for her new cart tonight! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and a BIG thank you from Bella herself!
