Stoney Update

We wanted to give everyone an update on Stoney. Thanks to a very kind "any mouse," (anonymous) donor, Stoney will be receiving the medical care he needs. Stoney was examined by a doctor this afternoon, given antibiotics, pain medications, and will be having surgery to have his tooth extracted, and abscess treated on Tuesday July 29.
In Other News:
A very dear friend of ours, Deb, from The Taylor Catssss could use your prayers tonight. Her mother was rushed to the ER for what appears to be stroke. Please keep Deb, her family and most importantly, her mother in your thoughts and prayers. We are sure they could use all the purrs and prayers they can get. Thanks everyone!

Thank you for the update on Stoney.

Also, thank you so much for the prayers and lovely comments about my mother. It was a long night. Mom had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital around 10:30 p.m., but she is not paralyzed, thank God. She has Alzheimer’s, so it is hard to say whether her incoherency is because of the stroke or the Alzheimer’s. I had already been planning to go to Houston on Wednesday. Mom’s 82nd birthday is Thursday. My sister took her back to the nursing home around 1:30 a.m. There was really nothing further the doctor’s could do.

I talked to the nursing home this morning around 5:00 a.m. and Mother was resting comfortably. That is all I can ask at this point in time. I just want her comfortable. Mom’s health is declining rapidly due to the Alzheimer’s. I am anxious to see her! We have a big party planned for her. She won’t know what the party is for (i.e. her birthday), but she LOVES attention! Don’t we all?

Stoney is in good hands. Any Mouse is a big-hearted person!

Deb had quite a night. It's hard enough to get through something like that when you're at the hospital, but terrible when far away.
