Question: Do I Think That Moki Knows He's Different?

Abby at Manx MNews posed a question that I think many of you have probably wondered about or asked yourself about as well, and that is "Do I Think That Moki Knows He's Different"?

Well the answer to that particular question is kind of interesting. You see, Mini Munch is the only normal kitty around here, so if anything I think that Moki probably sees Mini Munch as being different. Many of you may not know this, but Little Kitty is a special needs cat as well. You see Little Kitty's front paw is deformed.
The bones in her paw are twisted. Most of the time her paw doesn't cause her too much trouble, but at times it does make her walk a little funny, and during the winter when the cold sets in and she gets arthritis in it, she often limps around the house favoring that particular paw. There is nothing that the vets can do to fix her leg, and she has learned to live with her condition quite well, but her condition in many ways limits what she does and does not do, much the same way Moki's condition limits what he does and does not do. For instance, Mini Munch will run around like crazy and jump up and down on things, but Little Kitty won't, the highest she'll jump is onto the seat of the couch and from there onto the back of the couch...
With that said, I think that if Moki does see himself as different, then Moki also sees that he is not the only one out there that may be different...and therefore that makes him not so different after all...

However Moki views himself he is one very lucky cat to have such a wonderful person willing to put in the love, care and time needed to help him with his differences.

Many 'able bodied' cats get far less.

Moki and Little Kitty are true stars.

Moki is not different at all, he is loved and has so many friends that really love him. Yep, he has his challenges, but don't we all? Love ya Moki!

Now that is an interesting question and answer. Disabled animals seem to adapt well to their differences and accept things as they are, don't they.

That's a good way to see things!

I honestly believe that cats don't really think of themselves as disadvantaged in any ways even when they are 'special needs'. While watching the video of Moki,I thought he is showing you how well he has adapted to what some may think of as his limitations. He just finds a way that works for him. I feel this is one of the ways cats can inspire us. Moki is is so many way that sweet inspiration.

And of course Moki is so blessed to have you caring and loving him and sharing him with all of us.

(also sharing Little Kitty and Mini Munch)
