The simple answer to this is no. Moki cannot groom himself. The problem lies in Moki's ability to coordinate his movement. Whenever Moki concentrates, Moki starts to shake. Simple everyday movements that you or I might take for granted, require a great deal of concentration for Moki to be able to preform.
As a result my boyfriend and I have to do all of Moki's grooming for him. When Moki first got sick I purchased a series of cheap white wash clothes and towels. We use the wash clothes and towels I purchased in combination with kitty wipes to clean Moki. We start with a warm wet wash cloth, and wipe Moki down. The warm wash cloth removes anything which may get stuck in Moki's fur, i.e, food, litter, feces. We then use cleansing cat wipes, to clean Moki's fur as shown in the video above.
We usually have to give Moki a good cleaning once a week. During the week we can usually get away with simply touching up places that get dirty the most in other words, around his face, paws, hind legs and tail.
